Highway 61 is also known as the “Blues Highway” because of the course it takes, it runs through the Mississippi Delta country, which was an important source of blues music. The highway stretches from the Canadian border through cities in eight states, from Duluth, Minnesota (where Bob Dylan was born and near Hibbing, where he grew up); to Memphis, Tennessee; and all the way down to New Orleans, Louisiana.
